A Case of Myringoplasty with Surederm®(Acelluar Dermal Allograft) in Chronic Otitis Media

Abstract

|
Surederm®(Hansbiomed, Korea), an acellular allodermal allograft, is an excellent material for soft tissue implantation. It is processed from human skin and becomes immunogenically inert by removing the complete epidermal layer and cellular components of the dermal layer. We recently treated a patient who had chronic otitis media with central perforation of tympanic membrane, with myringoplasty using Surederm®. So we report this case with a review of literatures. This is known as the first case that Surederm® is used in otologic field.
